Chicago-born Matt Walsh is a founding member of both the Upright Citizens Brigade theater and sketch/improv troupe, whose eponymous show ran on Comedy Central from 1998 to 2000. In addition to his current starring role on HBO’s Emmy®-nominated comedy series Veep, Matt has written and created several television shows, including Players (in which he also starred), Dog Bites Man, Human Giant and Daisy Does America. He’s also delivered memorable turns in the feature films Ted, The Hangover, Old School, Step Brothers and Elf, served as a correspondent on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart, and guest starred on such television shows as Community, Jon Benjamin Has A Van, Nick Swardson’s Pretend Time, Children’s Hospital, Hung, Reno 911! and The League. In his spare time during football season, Matt co-hosts the Bear Down Podcast with his fellow Chicago buddies to break down the scores and plays of their beloved hometown team, The Chicago Bears. Okay, that last part isn’t entirely true, in that Matt clearly does not have any spare time. Still, go Bears.
